Constructing a Better Las Vegas
Concrete recycling is an economically efficient way to dispose of concrete while avoiding high dump fees from the landfill and making a re-usable product. We allow dumping of clean concrete, uncontaminated concrete. We do accept concrete with rebar. We do not accept concrete mixed with wood, trash, paper, plastic, or organics.
We have a process of sorting, breaking, crushing, and producing a gravel base product from the broken concrete. We also can sort out the rebar and recycle that product. In terms of the overall environment, recycling concrete significantly saves energy compared to mining, processing, and transporting new aggregates. While not considered environmentally damaging, the large volume of concrete waste generated during demolition makes it difficult for landfills to accommodate.
Asphalt is the most recycled and reused material in the county. The asphalt is reprocessed into aggregate sized material to make gravel base or mixed in with recycled concrete and native materials to make aggregate base materials. By recycling asphalt, it avoids high disposal fees at landfills and creates a re-usable product.
